First and foremost I am the father of four and husband to Shellee. Shellee is from Fargo and I am from the Twin Cities. Together we started Coulter Photography in September 2003. Shellee handles the books and customer service while I shoot all the weddings and the do the post processing.

I love what I do. I really enjoy being a wedding photographer. I feel so honored that someone would want me to be the person to capture the most special day of their lives. Because of this I take great pride in recording the day the way the bride and groom would want to remember it. I shoot mostly "Wedding Photojournalism" style with the addition of "Fashion" photography and most recently "Trash the Dress" sessions.

I am the only photographer and all the images you see are taken by me. I don't use a second shooter mainly because I confess I am a control freak when it comes to my images. I also have had feedback from customers who expressed they liked dealing with only me. It made things easier and more comfortable to deal with only one photographer on their wedding day. It gives them confidence they know exactly who they are dealing with every step of the way.

I have not been influenced by any one photographer and have created my own style of photography. I learn new things everyday since wedding photography is an ever changing business. My work is unique and solely mine! I don't want you to look at my images and say "I've seen that before." If you go to my proof section you will see entire weddings as they were shot. I want everyone to know what to expect when hiring me so I don't just show my best shots I show all my shots.
